CUSTOMER REVIEWS:
Not worth the price - -

This is more of a booklet than a book. The binding is staples and the only color is the cover and an insert in the middle showing a photo of each project(most too small for details). The actual instructions for each project are limited to a B&W drawing that is shaded to indicate the layers of glass used and a few sentences with general instructions for that project. For example the project Seagulls on Pilings p36 shows a b&w photo of finished project (not helpful), a b&w drawing showing the layering, and these are the instructions..
*Wave lines and texture on the pilings are pulled stringer.
*Seagull's eyes are fine black frit.
*Beaks and the seagull in the sky are small scraps of glass. Use
clear iridescent or white wispy for the clouds in the sky.
*Pilings are wood-toned glass with stringers added for texture.
That's it.
No sizes are indicated, very few helpful hints(some need illustrations), and a very basic introduction to the process. So, if you are familiar with the process, understand the glass COEs (cause she doesn't explain that well), how to fire(that's not explained well either - she gives ranges depending on the size of the project but is vague about what a small or large project might be. 2x2? 4x4? 6x6? give me an idea!!) it's a simple patterns book. All of the projects are meant to be done in one firing - so very simple.
As a pattern book, it is decent - we will make many of the projects - some are simple enough for my kids. But, I would have been happy with it if I paid half the price - it's just not worth $18.

Nice Book -

It's a pretty nice book with some good ideas. My complaint is it's tooo small for the money and should be in color.
The art of fusing pictures in glass. -

A total disgrace and an insult to anybody's intellegance. After byuing books like Dictonary of glass by Charles Bray and Glass notes,a reference for the glass artist by Henry Halem I find it very hard to believe that this..... is not advertised under the kiddies books section. It borders on highway robbery.SORRY
diaappointimg -

I guess if this is a new concept to the reader, this could be a good book but I was not looking for patterns to follow and found the imagery to be prosaic. Richard La Londe is a master at using frit. Check out his work.

Great selections of branded hammocks at

Awesome fusing techniques -

This is just an awesome book for some new ideas that are SO easy to follow - I have already made three new pieces and am about to start my fourth. Highly recommended - one of my favorites - a must have!
